Alumni on Campus

Connect with Wharton alumni on campus. Wharton students interact with industry leaders through an alumni mentoring program, career panels, alumni club receptions, and student conferences. Alumni give lectures and hold discussions in the classroom, support Global Immersion Program trips, work with students on field application projects, and meet with students through campus programs like Entrepreneurs-in-Residence, Power Dinners, and Leadership Lectures.

Wharton External Affairs plans alumni events that begin for current students and offer continuity after graduation.

Pub Outside of Penn (POP)

Pub Outside of Penn extends the social tradition of MBA Pub to cities around the globe.  This is a student initiative maintains a sense of community among Wharton students and young alumni through social activities.  MBA interns, current Wharton MBA students, local alumni, and newly admitted students are invited to at least one social event during the summer in cities around the world.  Last year, in 2016 500+ MBA admits, summer interns, and recent grads participated in POP.  This peer-to-peer outreach encourages connectivity among classmates as you begin your journey after Wharton.

Alumni Fellows

This group of student leaders educates their classmates, through programing, peer to peer networking and the use of student leadership groups, on the importance of philanthropy and lifelong engagement with Wharton.  Student Life, External Affairs, and Alumni Fellows collaborate to build and sustain a culture of lifelong philanthropy and engagement.  MBA Class Gift Campaign Page

MBA Power Dinners

A series of dinners are held annually for the full time MBA students as well as the MBA for Executive students on the East and West Coasts to give them access to the power of Wharton alumni network.  Power Dinners provide an informal atmosphere for students to meet with leading Wharton alumni from a variety of industries and learn more about their career and the work they do and build meaningful connections.  Examples of alumni presenters include an EVP of Time Warner, Regional Marketing Manager for Ferrari North America, President of Heinz North America, President of the New York Jets, VP of Digital Strategy and Sales for Comcast, President of Gilt, EVP for Marketing for Kind Snacks and EVP and CEO at AIG.

Alumni Orientation

Alumni Orientation is an opportunity for graduating MBA students to meet with members of the Wharton staff (Alumni Relations, Clubs, Online Engagement, Wharton Fund, Graduate Division and Career Management) and learn about the vast array of alumni resources available post-graduation. Alumni Orientation takes place at Graduation Pub in May.

One Year Reunion

The One Year Reunion is held on campus in conjunction with Wharton MBA Reunion Weekend in May.  This is a great opportunity to reconnect with classmates, network with fellow alumni and learn from renowned Wharton faculty and each other and develop new skills you can apply directly to your work life through customized Lifelong Learning programming.  These are just a few of the reasons more than 2,000 MBA alumni return to Wharton for MBA Reunion Weekend.
