Congrats to everyone who was accepted first-round to Wharton! You are going to love it here!
As you all start making plans to quit your jobs, prepare for school, and plan summer vacations with your free time, all of us here at Wharton are looking to do the exact opposite. It’s time for us to head back to work. I only left my job 6 months ago and I already can’t imagine myself back in the workforce. Being a student is awesome…cherish every moment of it!
We’ve been networking and attending info sessions and Day on the Jobs for months now, and it has all been building up to FRP (focused recruiting period) – which starts on Thursday. A week and a half dedicated to interviews for summer internships. Time for hundreds of case studies and those dreaded “tell me about a time when…” questions. Ugh, talk about stressful!
A piece of advice for all of you who are planning to head to b-school next year: before you leave your job, write down a list of the projects you worked on and the teams you interacted with so that you have an archive to reference as you prepare for these behavioral type interviews. You might think you will remember everything, but trust me you won’t.
