Speaker Bios
Geoff Garrett is Dean, Reliance Professor of Management and Private Enterprise, Professor of Management at the Wharton School, and Professor of Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania. He became Dean of the Wharton School in 2014, and was previously a member of the Wharton faculty in the Management Department from 1995 to 1997. Dean Garrett is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Social Sciences, sits on the Advisory Boards of the Indian School of Business and the Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management. He is a member of the board of directors of Park Hotels and Resorts and is a winner of the Foreign Policy Association Medal and the Advance Global Australian Award.
Alex Gorsky, WG’96 is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Johnson & Johnson and Chairman of the Executive Committee. Mr. Gorsky is the seventh person to serve as Chairman and CEO of Johnson & Johnson since it became a publicly traded company in 1944. Mr. Gorsky is a member of the Board of Directors of IBM, the Travis Manion Foundation, the Congressional Medal of Honor Board of Directors and the Board of Directors of the National Academy Foundation. He is also a member of The Business Council and the Business Roundtable.
Andy Rachleff, W’80 is the founder of Benchmark Capital and WealthFront. Upon his retirement from Benchmark, Andy joined the faculty of the Stanford Graduate School of Business to teach a variety of courses on technology entrepreneurship. In 2011 he co-founded Wealthfront Inc. where he now serves as President & CEO. Andy serves as trustee of the University of Pennsylvania, a member of its executive committee and Chairman of its endowment investment committee.
Lori Rosenkopf is the Simon and Midge Palley Professor at the Wharton School. Since joining the faculty in 1993, Lori has taught courses for undergraduates, MBAs, and doctoral students, as well as for executive education and online participants. She received the Hauck Award for distinguished teaching in the undergraduate program. Lori served two terms as the Vice Dean and Director of the Wharton Undergraduate Division from 2013-2019.
Marc Rowan, W’84, WG’85 is Co-founder and Senior Managing Director of Apollo Global Management, Inc., one of the largest alternative asset managers. An active philanthropist, he also serves on a number of not-for-profit boards. Currently, he is Chairman of the Board of Overseers of The Wharton School and a member of the University of Pennsylvania’s Board of Trustees.
