Last week was quite a week. The Class of 2015 was hard at work recruiting for summer internship opportunities and Wharton had the pleasure of hosting nearly 300 admits for Winter Welcome Weekend. I enjoy seeing the campus abuzz with activity – seeing our students in action during interviews, welcoming young alumni back to campus as recruiters, and having the opportunity to meet with our first round admits. During my Welcome Weekend remarks I said that this is one of my favorite times of the year – and how could it not be?!
During Welcome Weekend, we had the opportunity to invite admits to our campus and give them the grand tour, Wharton-style. Welcome Weekenders had the chance to meet with faculty, career management, and administration and discover all the opportunities one can find at Wharton – from academic rigor in the classroom to personal enrichment through clubs, leadership ventures, sports, and social activities. I have to say that I enjoyed showing off everything that Wharton has to offer! We hope each of our visitors came away from this weekend with an sense of what life at Wharton, and in Philadelphia, has to offer and can see themselves calling this place home for two years. If you were not able to join us for Welcome Weekend, check out our webinars that cover topics such as student clubs, career management, life on campus, and resources available for partners.
As we near the end of February, round 2 interviews are top of mind for the admissions team. We look forward to putting a face with a name and meeting many of you in person – either here, in Philadelphia, or in one of international locations around the globe.
