Greeting prospective applicants,
As you embark on your next professional (and business school) steps, it is time for me to do the same! I have decided to leave Wharton; my last day will be this Friday, October 4. As they say, all good things must come to an end, and after nearly five years – and one of the most professionally and personally rewarding experiences – it’s time for new adventures!
This is not a decision I made impetuously; I did not want to start an application cycle that I could not commit to finishing. Nothing would be less fair to you, to my team, the school, and our alumni and other important stakeholders.
It has been an absolute privilege to serve my alma mater in this role and a true honor to bring five incredible classes to the MBA program.
I leave you in the hands of my incredibly capable and talented team in MBA Admissions & Financial Aid; I can think of no finer group to lead the school through the coming application cycle.
I have truly enjoyed getting to meet so many of you over this past summer and over the past few years. I wish all of you the best as you embark on this important journey and step in your professional paths.
Sincerely,
Ankur Kumar
